Allday Fence
Rebuilt from scratch and live 2026-06-27. In the 47 days after launch Google recorded 176 clicks and 18,040 impressions from search, against 2 clicks and 338 impressions in the 26 days before. We publish no conversion rate for this site, because our own analytics under-recorded, that is explained below rather than hidden.
The record
- Test name: Google Search Console clicks and impressions, plus the quick build scan (both defined here)
- URL tested: alldayfence.com
- Scope: organic search clicks and impressions for alldayfence.com, pulled from the Search Console API on 2026-08-15
- Before: 2 clicks, 338 impressions, average position 18.6 (2026-06-01 to 06-26)
- Changes made: complete rebuild, live 2026-06-27
- After: 176 clicks, 18,040 impressions, average position 17.4 (2026-06-27 to 08-12); build scan 14 of 14 items
The honest weakness in this one
Our own measurement failed, and an earlier version of this page published the wrong number because of it. Three things went wrong, and all three are ours:
- The analytics tag was lost during the migration on 2026-06-27 and then blocked by a security header we ourselves added, so nothing was recorded until 2026-07-10.
- An earlier version of this page claimed the previous site “counted nothing”. That was false. A Google Analytics property was already running on the old site with data going back to January 2026, so a genuine starting point existed, and the migration destroyed it.
- The figure we published, 18.53%, was contact events divided by visits, which is not the share of visits that made contact. Google’s own equivalent for the same window is 16.29%, and most of that window was traffic to the old site.
So we withdrew the conversion rate rather than restate it. Google Analytics currently records fewer visits for this site than Search Console records clicks from search alone, which means it is under-recording and cannot support a rate at all. What is published above comes from Search Console, which Google measures without relying on anything installed on the site.
We are publishing this because the alternative is a portfolio that only contains the engagements that went cleanly. The measurement lesson on the rest of this site is not theoretical: this is the engagement that taught it.
What it does not prove
It does not prove revenue, and a click is not a signed job. The before window is short: Search Console holds no data for this domain before June 2026, so the comparison is 26 days against 47, not a full year. And search volumes move for reasons nobody controls, so some of the increase in clicks may be seasonal rather than caused by the rebuild. It is also not a ranking gain. Average position barely moved, 18.6 to 17.4, so most of this is Google finally being able to read and index the pages, not the site climbing the results. What it does show is that Google now sends the site 176 clicks in 47 days where it sent 2 in the 26 days before, on a measurement we do not operate.
